 Earthworm meal and yeast as replacement for fish meal in diets of striped catfish (Pangasianodon hypophthalmus)

The purpose of the present study was evaluate earthworm meal and yeast powder as replacement for fish meal in the diet of striped catfish. The treatments were fish meal (control), earthworm meal (EW)  and yeast (Y). The culture period was 60 days.

Measurements of water quality (temperature, dissolved oxygen, nitrite, ammonia and pH) were in the normal range for fish culture..There were no differences in daily weight gain and specific growth rate among the treatments. It was concluded that earthworms meal can be a replacement for fish meal in diets for striped catfish.
