Comparison of three species of earthworms grown on mushroom residue, cattle and goat manure suspension

Abstract

The aim of this research were arranged in a 3*3 factorial the factors. Three sources of suspensions (cattle manure, goat manure and residual of mushroom in suspension) and sources of earthworms as as Philippine worm ( Perionyx excavatus), California red worm (Eisenia foetida), and (Perionyx excavatus + Eisenia foetida). The earthworms were cultivated in baskets with rice straw.

Residual of mushroom higher in DM and lower in crude protein than in manure of cattle and goat. Earthworm was lower in DM and higher in crude protein in breed of Philippine worm (Perionyx excavates). The mixture species of earthworms were suspension both of manures and residual mushroom provided to increase production. There were no differences between final of body length, weight of each species. The feed suspension into each species of earthworms was higher in yield of the length and weight for cattle manure. The gain weight of substrate DM; CP to each species of earthworms were best for the cattle manure and poorest for goat manure and residual of mushroom. At the end of experiment was increased numbers of substrate DM; CP of added substrate for goat manure as suspension.
