Using extract of Tithonia diversifolia leaves to control Scabies in rabbits

 Abstract: 

Using the extract of Tithonia diversifolia leaves to control Scabies in Rabbits. An experiment was performed from January to April of 2011 in some households in Bavi district, Hanoi, Vietnam. Three levels of fresh Tithonia leaves were: 300, 250, 150 g/dose and applied the extract of these doses  to itchy sores of Rabbits 4 times daily and repeated over a period of 5 days. The control of Ivermectin was given by injection. Each treatment was given to 5 Rabbits with scabies and 3 replications. The research result showed the extract of fresh Tithonia leaves have effected on treating Scabies in Rabbit. When using extract of fresh Tithonia leaves of 150, 250 and 300 g/dose, time gets over scabies in goat were  13, 10 and 7 days, respectively. The effect of fresh Tithonia leaves extract of 300 g on treating Scabies in Rabbit is similar to Ivermectin.
