Dairy cattle production has developed unevenly
in the region, with the big leap in

On the way of development there is more requirements in dairy products.
-
Dairy cattle development programs have been
focused and supported by the goverments in the region due to excessive imports
of milk and milk products, and more importantly, because of the positive effect
of dairying on farmers’ income generation, household nutrition and poverty
reduction.
-
Biophysical knowledge and skills related with
milk production, suck as breeding, feed and feeding, and health care issues are
needed by researchers and sientists working in this field.
-
The dairy cattle production in the Tropics with
emphasis in feeding and nutrition course will be organised to support the
needs.
Objectives
The course will support the participants
in:

Understanding the biophysical factors affecting
the dairy cattle production.

Having basic knowledge of rumen function and
how to improve its production.

Understanding the cattle feed and feeding
systems in the region and how to improve them in dairy cattle
production.

Having the basic knowledge in milk
secretion.

Having the basic skills in dairy cattle ration
formulation.

Understanding the sustainable and environmental
aspects of dairy production.

Improving the understanding, working, and ideas
sharing of the big group of ruminant scientists in the four countries Cambuchia,
